The M1 is the main motorway linking
Budapest with Austria and Slovakia. Vienna
and and Bratislava are within easy access as
well as Bratislava and Vienna Airports.
Remember that you need a motorway vignette
for the Austrian motorways when crossing the
border!
There are a number of service stations
usually 30-40 Km apart as well as a number
of rest stations which have toilets.
You are advised to visit the M1 webages
to find out the current status of the road
before setting out on your journey.
