Nearly every motorway in Hungary requires
you to purchase a motorway pass called a
'Vignette Matricia' in Hungarian.
These are widely available at many
service stations, particularly thouse close
to the Motorways. They are available in
4-day, 10-day, montly and yearly units. They
can also be purchased online as an
e-vignette. |

If you do not purchase one, it
is certain that you will be fined as the
vignette system is very efficient in
Hungary. It is possible to be fined more
that once on the same journey. Click the
